Thanksgiving Day ... He's Moved Into His New Temporary Home!

After a delicious meal with the community, Pastor Sanks climbed the ladder to his new temporary home, 20-feet up in the air.

The House in the Sky Goes Up!

On Wednesday, November 24th, things were BUSY around The House of God! Inside of the building, food was being cooked for the community Thanksgiving meal and outside of the building ... well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so let me share a few thousand of them! (words - not picures!)

The BIG Event is on Facebook and Twitter!

If you find yourself spending more time on Facebook or Twitter than you do on Blogger, it's ok because you can find The BIG Event on all three!
The countdown to the community Thanksgiving meal is officially on folks and once the meal is over, Pastor Jamie will be hittin' the road (or the air in his case) to live 30-feet in the air for how ever long it takes us to fill up two tractor-trailers and one POD storage unit with food, toys and cold-weather gear. Pastor Jamie will be spending 24/7 up there in an Action portable building for those in our community who need a hand. If everyone in our community comes together, we can get Pastor J home to his wife, bring smiles to faces that are young and old for Christmas and live "Love your neighbor as yourself" out loud!

Will you help us make a difference?

Welcome to THOG

At The House of God, our vision is to be a multiracial/multiethnic church family of ministers of reconciliation and a house of prayer for all the nations.

Moreover, we envision THOG as a
RAINBOW (which symbolizes diversity within unity) for the community through:
R-Reconciliation and Relationships with God, family, and others which result in unity.
A -Accountability, Authenticity, and Affection toward God, family, and others.
I - Involvement, Inclusion, and Integrity among believers.
N -Nurtured Needs of the Body of Christ and the community.
B -Born-Again Body of Baptized Believers and Ministers of Reconciliation
O -Order and Openness
W -Worshippers that are united and Witness by the Word and Wisdom of God

We envision breaking down barriers that prevent the Body of Christ from genuinely worshipping and fellowshipping together; barriers such as: political, racial, religious, class, economic, residential or geographical segregation, denominational, age, sex, etc. Simply put: we envision being bridge builders in a world of barriers and divisions.
